Username

Everything you see visually in HP is customized to specific user. A user must login to use HousePanel using the form below.

If you do not have a login, you should click on the “Create One Here” link that will take you to a new screen where you can create a new account that looks as follows:

         

A valid email, phone, username, and password must be provided. The mobile number can actually be any sequence of 6 or more numerical digits that you must remember when logging in; however, if you provide a real mobile number HousePanel can txt you password reset information.  HousePanel has the option to be configured to require new accounts to be confirmed using an email authorization. To set this up you must provide an SMTP email configuration information in the housepanel.cfg file.  By default new users do not require confirmation. If you have set up a SMTP email server then you can also use the “reset password” feature to deal with times when users forget their login information.

A very important concept in HP is that each user has their own setup including their own look and feel. All changes made when logged in as a given user will only apply to the logged in user and will not impact the look and feel of other users who log in.
